A Tale of Two Sistas.

Asian horror is on the map. If you like Asian horror films please see the original and not these American remakes that completley screw up the entire story. A Tale of Two Sisters is a horror film on a psychological level of fear. It follows the story of two sisters who return home from a mental institution to see that their father has remarried after the timely death of their mother. Matters get worse for the girls at their new stepmother has a couple of issues with the two siblings...not to mention a pesky ghost also lurking around the home. This film is a truley and genuinely chilling and creepy film. It doesn't just scare and disturb you with the ghost aspect of it...but with the human nature and family issues along with the film. The story is sinister and spine-tingling, the acting is superb to the highest degree, the direction is spot-on, and the visuals are amazing and beautiful. The cinematography and visuals in this film are just eye-candy for itself. Looking at the beautiful floral wall-paper, blood red paint, etc. The only issue I have with this film is that you will need to watch this film a second time to get the twist at the end, but other than that this is a film that reads terrifying Asian cinema to the highest level. |
