The story felt like a smorgasbord of ideas that was a bit hard to swallow at times, but the acting was terrific, especially Diane Keaton, Luke Wilson and Sarah Jessica Parker. Overall, the movie was a nice holiday treat that reminded us that families, at their best, and worst, are just collections of unique individuals bound together my love, traditions and eventually understanding. On a final note -- I think they really hurt this movie by putting out a trailer that didn't convey the true essence of the film -- at all. |
