I did not want to see the movie because I had already seen the original. I had seen Titanic. The only reason I was there was took take my 11 yr old son. I was surprised at just how good this movie was. Kurt Russell is great and plays a realistic dad & hero. Richard Dryfuss was wonderful. I also enjoyed all the other characters. This show is very exciting & I found myself really rooting for the characters. This was a great family movie for older kids 10+ because there was no swearing, but a little too intense for younger kids. I didn't think it was necessary to bring up Richard Dryfuss's sexual orientation for the story. They just needed to indicate that he had a broken heart. It was great to see a group of heroes take action during a disaster-it was very life like and inspirational. |
