After staying up until midnight to see Spiderman 3, I had to see what movie would try to compete.
Lucky You is a very thoughtful story that is set in Las Vegas and tells the story of a talented card shark played by Eric Bana. He has a lot of struggles trying to earn 10,000 dollars to enter the World Series of Poker tournament.
While this is going on he meets and falls in love with a beautiful future Vegas Lounge singer played by Drew Berrymore(who has a good voice by the way). And on top of that Bana's character has an unstable relationship with his father(played by Robert Duvall) who happen to one of the best card players ever.
Okay this movie was well put together with great acting all across the board. I found the story to be very believeable and interesting I wanted to know everything about the characters. The chemistry between Bana and Barrymore was great and sincere. Even with all the Spiderman buzz this movie is worth the money. |
