Not the ideal chick flick.

My wife & I received free tickets to a screening this past Thurday evening, and let me forewarn anyone interested in seeing this movie, it
is not your typical "chick flick." We both went in expecting that particular outcome, but in all actuality, we came out of the movie wondering why we had spent the last 2 hours of our lives waiting for this film to end. I think the producers tried way too hard to incorporate the "date movie" mentality, with a spin-off for men to enjoy as well (hence, the Poker playing). I can honestly say if you enjoy watching the World Series of Poker, stay at home & watch on ESPN, no need to pay the 9$ to add a romantic twist of top of it. The acting was moderate, and Drew Barrymore's character was annoying as hell...I will give this movie one bit of praise, because it actually included cameos by real life Poker superstars. To sum it all up, you won't feel so lucky if you go see this movie (even as in our case, being free) |
