I loved the movie and thought it was rather insightful on Wolverine's origin, how he became what he is in the other three movies. It answers alot of questions for the audience.
But don't expect to see alot of other characters being developed. I had a few people getting mad about not enough screen time or accuracy for one guy or another. The fact is this isn't like the other X-Men movies, where it bounces. It's about WOLVERINE. Gambit, The Blob, Deadpool, and everyone else will appear to have less time, because it's not their movie.
Also, don't be mad if it's not 100% true to the comics. The X-Men movies never were. So don't say, "Well, Gambit actually did this in the comic." Honestly, it's Stan Lee's creation and he oversaw the script and story. He can do what he wants. So just enjoy the awesome show.
There are some sweet fight scenes, good effects, way better than the last one, they were seemless. There were a few good surprises, twists, and a couple cameos. It ties in so well with the other movies, it's genius.
I just wish it was longer and that Gambit got to fight more. They made him look so cool yet he didn't do as much as I thought.
It is a bit brutal at parts, for younger kids, I recommend maybe another film. But it is really good. |
