I've had enough (some spoilers)

I have been reading the reviews and I have to say I am sick of people whining about how the movie didn't do this or that. Movies never follow exactly the books, comic books, etc. they are taken from. They change things to make them more interesting to someone who may not have read the comics and some things they just can't do in a movie so get over it already.
Everybody whined because they wanted to see Gambit in the first three X-Men movies but he wasn't put in and they finally put him in a movie and they whine because he was never involved in the Wolverine storyline. If he had been with Wolverine from the start and gotten more screen time (which couldn't have hurt I think lol) they would have been whining because that never happened in the comics. He's in the freakin movie just be happy.
I think Taylor Kitsch did an excellent job as Gambit. The only thing I noticed was that his accent wasn't like the guy's (I can't remember his name) in the X-Men cartoon back in the nineties. That was closer to the way they have Gambit speak in the comics. But his fight scene with Wolverine was great I thought and he was waaay hot lol. Him getting a spin off would be great but I don't know that it would do well. But I would see it for sure if they did.
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool was the only choice they could have made imho. I am hoping he gets his own spin off. I mean could you imagine him getting into a really serious type of scene where he was to sneak up on someone and out of nowhere have him think "What the hell is with the crappy background music?" or something along those lines? That would be awesome. He really captured the character if it was only for a few scenes. But why did they sew his mouth shut at the end? He is the merc with the mouth, you have to have him talk s*** while he is fighting thats what he does. That is my only main grip about the movie.
Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed was great and he did a an excellent job pulling off the character. I think he really captured Sabertooth's ruthlessness and savagery.I kinda wish his fight scene with Wolverine at the end would have been abit longer and more brutal but can't have everything. Plus they had other fight scenes so I guess that explains why the final one was so short.
All of the other characters were good. Good to see Dominic Monaghan on the big screen again (I don't watch movies much so this is the first time I have seen him on the big screen since LOTR). He didn't get a whole lot of screen time but was excellent as well.
Glad to see Charles Xavier in there as well that was quite the surprise. But an excellent surprise. When my niece saw him she said "Hey why is he walking?" lol but she isn't very familiar with X-Men apart from the movies and Wolverine is her favorite so I can overlook those kinds of questions although I did explain everything to her ^_^.
So for those that complain, like I stated earlier movies don't always follow the story they are made from (just look at Dragonball:Evolution and then watch the anime. Same thing). So quit whining for Pete's sake. |
