Why "Lady" is getting poor reviews.

There are two reason why "Lady in the Water" is getting very poor reviews: 1).The film critic in the movie gives the wrong recommendations, and dies in the end; and 2) People were expecting to see a horror movie, which the movie isn't. The movie is beautiful, the story is engaging, and the characters are memorable. I will not go into much detail about the plot, but the thing to look at is how the characters change when they start beleiving. Clevelend Heep's transformation into the "healer" was a powerful and poignant moment in the movie - he confronts a very personal experience,expresses his grief and love towards the murder of his family, and he heals himself before he gets to heal the narf that is in his arms. Truly, We heal ourselves first before we get to do it to others.
"Lady in the Water" is a story about the hope that things will be better in the future; it is about believing; it is an outstanding movie that I really recommend.
Oh.. It is a movie that pays homage to the cynicm in most movie critics. The movie was made for them so that they would believe once again. |
