Place of Birth Means Something

I liked this movie. In a time when people and families have become nomads across the country and the world we have forgotten how to live in a community that is just a broader family. This movie is a picture of what has been and could be. A family that has lived for eight generations in one area. Living with others in community. Respecting each indiviual as having worth, place and value. Respecting the differences of others and being gracious in disagreement. This is about the importance of heritage and the importance of thinking beyond the here and now to leave something of importance for our children and theirs. Thought provoking, charming and funny. |
