Roger Ebert should clean his glasses,
there WAS a Peggy Oki character in the
movie (refering to his quote).
See what I mean about professional critics,
they suck.
I was around back in the day and all in all
this movie does a great job of bringing us
back to the 70s.
The gloomy cinematography of the Venice Beach
area was perfect and the all acting performances
were comendable especially Heath Ledger (Skip)
and Emile Hirsch (Jay).
RUSH to go see LORDS OF DOGTOWN, it's much more
than a skateboard movie it's about the struggle
to get from one place in your life to another
and also about the birth of extreme skateboading.
For the people comparing it to the documentary,
you're all morons. You can't compare a
documentary to a feature Hollywood movie, they
are 2 different art forms but the thing that
they both have in common is that they are
both promoting the early stages of
skateboarding which is a very important part of
North American culture.
Very entertaining film, i'll see it again. |
