I was dying to see this movie because of the light-hearted, hilarious trailers and previews. I sat down and laughed at the cute characters and songs for about 30 minutes, and then I sat shocked with my mouth wide-open as the plot unfurled into a terrible, sad tale. I would never take my own kids to this movie! A penguin with a coke ring stuck around it's neck was left to eventually choke and hang by the end of the movie. It was freed but all I could think about was this poor penguin and how the children around me were reacting. The movie ended horribly and the environmental friendly messages at the end only worsened the horrific scenes of violence and sadness that should NEVER EVER again be put in a children's movie. |
