Red Eye is the way to go this weekend. It is one of the better movies to come out this summer. The movie will keep you on the edge of the seat from the beginning to the end. The strongest point of the movie are its two main characters. Rachel McAdams delivers a stunning performance and I'm glad to say she doesn't overact during the most intense moments of the movie. The movie takes a rather unexpected turn about 30 minutes before its end; but this turn doesn't ruin the movie; moreover, it adds to the suspense. Cillian Murphy couldn't have been a better choice for a villain. There is something so unsettlingly creepy and bone-chilling about him, yet at the beginning of the movie he plays such a charming gentleman that you can't blame McAdams for liking him at first. |
