Supporting cast really did their job

I had seen a preview for this film a couple years ago, but just got around to watching it tonight. Like my title says, the supporting cast did an amazing job of making the central characters seem more interesting than they were. Don't get me wrong - ScarJo and Helen Hunt were good, but couldn't have carried the movie on their own.
As for the story, it really was engaging. It embodied the phrase '...and the plot thickens". The pace was somewhat slow, but believable; and the ending - semi-predictable as it was - was charming, and made the whole movie worth the time.
Last - but not least - the movie gives some extraordinary words to live by. My favorite quote is: "If we're always guided by other people's thoughts, what's the point of having our own?" - or words to that effect. I would reccommend this movie, but probably somewhere around #3 or 4 out of a list of 5 or more. |
