Don't believe the Hollywood-trained critics. This is certainly no War of the Worlds that was absolute crap but all of them raved about. This is a great film to watch. Well told, well shot and well acted. Granted nothing blows up in this film, there are weapons missing, no police-state advocation and preparation and nobody is running around naked, but for those of us who retained their ability to think, despite Hollywood's best efforts, and not have to have everything chewed up for us,cinematically, this is time well spent. remember the time when movies told you stories? This is one of them. |
