Okay, it wasn't the worst plot ever, but it sure made me regret spending $8 to see it ($16 if you count my girlfriend, but she seemed to enjoy it.)
SPOILERS!!!!!
Okay, this seemed like the most half-assed, supposedly well thought out hijacking ever. The whole thing hinges on whether or not anyone saw the girl. First question... how do the mother and daughter get up and walk to the rear of the plane with NO ONE seeing the girl? And how did they managed to be the first ones on the plane? With 34 other kids on board, why wasn't there anyone else there until after they were seated and the kid slouched down in her seat? Third, why bother to keep the kid alive? Why risk drugging the girl when you know she's going to be blown up? Fourth, why did the air marshal get BACK on the plane? He should have just kept walking. No one would have listened to the crazy lady. Fifth, there's access to above the passenger area from the cockpit AND the bathrooms? Seems like a security problem to me... why bother to put the security door on the cockpit? Okay, all I can say is, wait for this to come out on DVD, then go down to Blockbuster and laugh at the people who rent it and will waste their time watching it. If you absolutly must see a movie about a woman being manipulated on a plane, go see Red Eye. |
