A Soccer Know-nothing loved this movie

I admit I don't know much about soccer or "football" as the rest of the world calls it, but I enjoyed this movie for several reasons: It tells a little know tale of Americans besting the Brits at their own game and does it with several outstanding actors. Most notable is Gerard Butler as Frank Borghi, goalkeeper. Butler makes you care about the game and his spectacular saves are bone crunchingly real. Do yourself a favor and see this movie and take a soccer playing friend with you. The cheers at the end are well deserved. |
