I sort of get confused when people write reviews about movies where they decide to judge it against what its not. This is a movie based off a video game, that i'd assume 99% of the viewers have played.
With that in mind, what more do you want? Its a mindless, senseless game we all love(d) because its simply that, the movie depicts this essence to a tee. If you liked Doom then go sit for 1.5hrs and enjoy it.
If you can see it on an IMAX then heh i suggest you do. It's also the first movie to use any sort of FPS cinematography.
If you liked the game for what its worth, then you will very much enjoy the movie for what its worth. The cast is absolutely perfect which makes viewing a pleasure.
If you've ever sat in front of your computer for 20hrs+ playing this game, then you must see this movie. |
