If you are a fan of the game, which is the only reason anybody would want to watch this movie, then steer clear.
I became hooked on Doom because of the plot and the scary game play. Doom was the scariest game I have ever played and I love it still.
This movie doesn't follow the game. It is based on the premise that you just want to see bodies mowed down. How stupid. I wanted to see the Rock fighting off demons and other hellspawn with the fear that I once had in me.
I wanted the Doom story line and creepy music. Not there. This is a generic kids shoot em up. Not a movie that was created for the millions of Doom fans.
Go ahead and waste your money if you want, you'll see that this movie doesn't represent Doom. What a joke.
I can't believe Carmack dished this junk on us after we have been so loyal to his games. |
