The ads and the trailers make this seem like a true family movie. My 5 year old has been begging us to take him to see it. I wish I would have followed my gut instinct and said NO!
It is too dark and scary for kids under the age of 10. I know - there are some younger kids who could handle it - but none of the ones I know! I had a hard time explaining the beer bottle from the boyfriend -- my son thought he was a teenager, not an adult! He also wanted to know why the kids were allowed to play with matches.
I was very disappointed.
..now to go snuggle my son - who refuses to sleep alone tonight. |
