There are plenty of reviews here to sift through so I will not bother pointing out what I liked about this movie. I do want to point out that almost every negative review here is poorly written, based on unfounded statements, and gives the impression that the reviewer didn't even watch the movie.
1) For those of us who don't have HADD and have at least a high school education, the story made perfect sense.
2) The much discussed sex scenes accounted for less than 3 minutes of the movie and I can only balk at those who said they were near pornographic. Get a freaking life!
3) People complain about the flashbacks (which are only slightly more prevalent than the first) and how it made the movie choppy and incoherent. Hello! The movie wouldn't have made any sense had these not been included.
4) THIS IS NOT BRAM STROKERS DRACULA!! The Underworld series has its own version of vampires who aren't affected by the overused holy water, garlic, and crosses.
5) Lycans are not werewolves; they are evolved forms of werewolves. The original, William, was a werewolf and those he bit turned into werewolves. The Lycan are not the same.
6) Shooting a vampire with UV bullets is a lot easier than stabbing the in them heart that is why they use guns (some people could not get over the use of guns).
7) Corvinus could not kill Marcus and William because HELLO!!, they are his sons. Sure they are as evil as hell but for Christ's sake they are still his blood. And Marcus does not easily kill Corvinus as many negative reviews stated. Corvinus killed himself with a bomb because his time had come, he would have survived had he not because he is IMMORTAL!!
8) An awesome point someone made was this: A lot of people are complaining that the Lycans can run on walls and that that is unrealistic. This person stated that if you can except the existence of Lycans then why in the hell can't you believe they can run on walls? Stupid!!
In closing, I see all these infuriating reviews and I can't help but comment. Look people, we go to the movies for entertainment not to judge it by its historical accuracies, its believable story, or its Oscar worthiness. Take movies for what they are; fictional entertainment. Sit back enjoy the movie and if you actually watch the movie instead of trying to dissect it the movie might actually make sense. By the way:
