So continues the story of the war between Lycans and Vampires. And like the first instalment of this series, this movie does not skimp on action or leather clad heroines. Underworld: Evolution is your typical sequel in many ways. same basic story line, same characters, etc. the point where this movie surpasses its predecessor is mostly delivery. This film is darker than the orignial and acted a whole hell of a lot better. special effects are above average and the fight scenes are more exciting than in the first. plenty of blood, violence, and nudity for some, but also a great story for movie-goers who like a little more bang for their buck. as an action/thriller, Underworld 2 is as good as it gets. its not an over the top sequel like some in the genre, and you could follow it even if you haven't seen the original (but you should). highly recommend this one. |
