As a Hong Kong Chinese, I watched tons of kung fu films/anime/cartoons/comics since I was a kid. I myself practice Kung Fu at home since I was 6. I love kung fu and martial arts. Ong-Bak gave me a lot of surprise. From the Tony's action, I can tell he is a REAL Thai boxer. Every kick and punch are full of skill and energy. It's not from acting. You must be a real fighter in order to perform that. Ong-Bak is my 3rd Thai movie and I enjoy it very much. The story is simple and smooth. Make more sense than a lot of Jackie Chan movies. Thai movies are surprisingly good. Much better than the Japanese who don't know how to make movies at all (their TV dramas are good though). Overall, don't miss this movie if you like martial art. |
