Those Who Hate Freedom

Those who hate Freedom will find this movie abhorrent. They will be repulsed by the Jeffersonian ideas of the protagonist, V. Those who hate Freedom will retreat into the last refuge of a scoundrel, "patriotism," deriding V for Vendetta as "anti-American" and "pro-terrorist." But American history shows otherwise! Our nation's Founding Fathers advocated revolution when government became the enemy of the People. This movie is so very PRO-American...and pro-British, too...as it honors the ideals -- and tactics -- that gave birth to both the Magna Carta and the Bill of Rights. V's statement that governments should be afraid of their people is clearly a paraphrase of Thomas Jefferson's maxim, "When the government fears the people, you have liberty. When the people fear the government, you have tyranny." All of the venom against V for Vendetta by those who hate Freedom is your best reason to SEE THIS FILM!
