This has to be one of the best movies of all time. Thought-provoking, harsh, cruel no holes barred $hit.
With all the other over-hyped movies this coming U.s. summer, this movie could be missed by the general public because it didnt have a budget in the excess of $100m.
Crash, takes place post 9/11 in LA, and how certain individuals (of deferent ethanicities) collide.
Crash is flawless. Performances are genuine and excellent. Screenplay is awesome. The eerie soundtrack just adds to the tension.
While the ensemble cast, will not impress everybody, they are all excellent. Including the supporting actors not mentioned in the trailer. Ryan Phillippe and Matt Dillion impress the most. Thandie Newton's character was my favorite, the scene after she gets molested by a racist-cop is a real heart breaker, especially when the scene takes place 10mins into the movie. All the cast impress, even the ones you would never expect a half-hearted performance from, a-la 'Ludacris' and Larenz Tate.
What makes Crash work so well, is how ur perception of a character quickly changes through-out the movie. The characters u hate in the beginning, turn out the ones you feel sorry for in the end.
All most in every scene in the movie you will ask yourself "What would you do in their situation?".
Paul Haggis coming off the success of writing, "Million Dollar Baby" is more so at his best here.
With racism such a problem these days, especially after 9/11, this film reminds us just how un-complacent we have become. Sandra Bullock character shows us this the best
Thought-provoking stuff.
