I didn't know it was on DVD, should have been in theaters. I read the book first and couldn't put it down. Jon Voight did a perfect job playing the part of Eddie, but so did all the other characters in the movie. Margarite, Young Eddie, Captain, etc. They brought the book to life and each did a great job. The film done so well. The different times whether the 1920's, 1940's or 2000, they did a great job with the transitions and the colors. I loved how they took a normal man with hardships in his life, and things didn't turn out like he wanted. He thought he didn't mean much or make a difference, but it shows how much he meant to so many people over the years, especially the children. Children remember who was there for them. It was Eddie's way of making up so to speak for the little girl he dreamed was always there. Wow, Mitch Albom has a real talent for writing, and Lloyd Kramer did a great job directiong it! |
