I'm not sure what I was watching when I saw this movie. Is it a dark comedy? A mystery? A crime- mob dealy? ...a Christmas movie? I really don't know...except that it's probably not the last one.
I DO know that there are a lot of funny scenes in this movie and that John Cusack can make anything watchable (even "Must Love Dogs"). However, I have to admit that none of the comedy, mystery, crime, mob or Christmas stuff ever comes together to form a cohesive film.
I didn't dislike this movie and I love John Cusack and Billy Bob Thorton like my own arms, but, really, honestly, "The Ice Harvest" could have been a whole lot better. |
