Cusack brings back his lovable villian self in this dark comedy that a friend of mine described as Grosse Point Blank meets the Big Bounce. (I would replace the Big Bounce with The Big Lobowski)
Thornton plays a slimey pornographer and it appears as if he isn't acting at all.
Platt Plays a loveable drunk haplessly married to an ice queen. (who he stole from Cusack's character-his best friend!)
Quaid plays the kind of mobster you can only find in Kans-ass.
Neilson plays a sexy "business woman" who you instinctively mistrust if you're a woman and lust after if you are a man.
Ramus's direction is almost a character itself, I would so like to see him do more films like this!
It's a guy film, no doubt, it was so funny that I enjoyed every moment. Definitely go with someone sick and twisted, definitely take a bathroom break beforehand, (you won't want to miss a scene) and definitely see this film! |
