Change Boston to The Cubs or The Astros and you have me and the source of my relationship problem. A great movie for guys (and I think girls) to identify with. Totally enjoyable, a little message, a little romance, a lot of baseball, and a nice hour and 45 minutes spent! Drew Barrymore's BEST performance ever IMO. Jimmy Fallon was OK, but he could have combed his hair and put on a shirt every now and then. He reminded me of how Mike Myers might play it in a hockey movie. Lenny Clarke, Jack Kehler, and James B. Sikking did a fine job, and JoBeth Williams was really hot for a mom! Make no mistake about it, this is a romantic comedy and not a classic baseball movie, but if you enjoy either, you will enjoy this movie. |
