Disappointing to say the least

I expected this to be a biting, insightful piece of satire, but the film misfired on all cylinders.
There were no characters one really cared about, there was a plot of sorts, but it really went nowhere, and the dialogue was not intriguing. In addition, all the characters were so obviously contrived, the film's aim to make its statement about the pretentiousness of art school was basically obviated. There was nothing to be made fun of, because they were all so pathetic and two dimensional.
The best way to sum this movie up is: think faux art-house Porky's without the hijinks....and without any of the fun. |
