After being devastated by watching The Ring 2, You probably wanted something to spice up your horror films. And if Dark Water did nothing but soak up some screams then you`re in for one heck of a film. However this movie has many many relations to Stephen Kings novel and short series Rose Red.In which a house becomes haunted based upon it`s southern-like history.
There are major spoilers for this movie that I would love to scream out at you.Especially the ending of the movie.Universal claims this movie`s ending will have you talking about it all summer. The ending is so freaking horrifying that you will be screaming so loud that everyone in the theater will be screaming louder than you. (I know what it was like..Everyone was basically screaming) -_-.
The Skeleton Key is about a 17th Century (You can call it 18th Century) Manson in the swampy-forest area of Louisiana.[The Perfect Place For Mansons, Because you always know that houses in those places are going to be freaking creepy...Ignore the whole creepy/horror thing, this movie is more of an action/thriller/screaming movie. In which the main character uses the skeleton key wrongly (opening a door she shouldn't have) and letting the past come back to the haunt the mansion once again.(It`s basically the same thing as all those other Louisiana Horrors, Only with less violence and more screaming)..You know you want to see this movie. The Skeleton Key is this summer`s 'The Village', Only with a better ending :)
