REFRESHING. PG-13. The movie has good dialogue, and a good story-line. Two best friends, with their skinny girlfriends, accidentally discover a ton of lost cocaine in a plane that recently crashed in the water near a shipwreck. The two buddies lack the resources to uncover the shipwreck officially. They disagree on selling one of the bags of coke to get the necessary funds for outfitting a boat and making a dive on a wreck that could legitamately bring them tens of millions more than the illegal drugs. Everything goes wrong. I will leave the rest for you to see in the theater. To give you a feel, I will say that parts are slow yet pretty realistic, parts are romantic and dreamy, and parts have a blood-curdling, high intensity. The whipped cream is the beautiful underwater photography. Jessica Alba's hot 'N sexy body, especially her heinie, is the cherry on top. Ashley Scott's heinie is hot too. If you are stranded at school or work and long for the beach or some tropical island, this movie may capture your imagination. There is lots of water. In fact, the water probably waters down the range of scenery, but that's okay because the plot is INTELLIGENT. This is dateworthy, if you both miss the beach, and miss the times you were young enough to half-innocently seek adventure. This film was REFRESHING, and I am glad I saw it, thought it probably won't be as popular as SpiderMan2 or Star Wars 5. |
