My children and I were looking forward to this movie with all the advertising and marketing it seemed to offer action with some humor and comedy and steered away from violence so it appeared in the trailers and commericals. To begin with I was really disappointed with the 3-D effects they were done poorly in this day and age. MY kids were expecting more of a chld story line written so they could follow along. The children in the movie tended to repeat the same lines over and over again and just reworded the way they spoke. It could not keep the attention of my 6 yr old he was bored and unable to follow along if Sharkboy would have had more action scenes would have at least been better then getting life lessons from the child actors who seemed to have not a clue the wisdom they were trying to give out. Not to mention using the word Dream in every line, sentence and conversation i thought i would scream if i heard it one more time and low and behold they piped up with a song that of course repeated the word over and over. wait for the video on this one that way you can turn it off when the kids walk out of the room. |
