The film does an excellent job of chronicling economic theory gone awry and how modern corporation officers will sometimes, in the interest of the bottom line, sacrifice any ethical obligations they have to employees or shareholders. The film is a great primer for anyone, like me, who isn't familiar with the details surrounding Enron's rise and California's subsequent blackouts. Even if one falls on the conservative or liberal side of the fence, it is hard to deny that these people shouldn't be considered as smart as they were clever and well connected. Being unethical and greedy knows no political affiliation. |
