Touching, Very Funny, Interesting, Educating Historic Road trip story.. Take your kids with you and they might want to learn more about your family history after this movie. Subtitles are not very accurate. Jew is not an accurate translation of the word "Zhid" they keep saying in the movie. It's a lot more unfriendly and yes people in those areas love that word.. I've heard it a lot growing up.
Also overall picture and presentation of Odessa and people who live there is a bit overly illuminated. Characters dress and eat funny, but a bit too weird, not exactly real.
Highly recommend this real, for a change, movie! |
