I have always been interested in learning everything I can about the Nazi faux pas concerning the Holocaust. So, when I read the abstract on this movie I thought it would be a nice change from the usual action/adventure and comedy movies I normally see. I expected a movie without much depth, but with some good, redeeming moments. What I got was a changed perspective on the entire event. As you're watching, you see the characters change. Every single one of them. Even the dog's attitude changes. There are several levels of emotion that are brought out both in the movie itself and in you. I am not a "crier" when it comes to movies, but I was bawling at this one. When this comes up for sale I will DEFINATELY buy it. There are some cuss words including the f bomb once but it isn't spoken it's in the subtitles. There also is a suicide (sorry). You don't see it happen but there is a lot of blood. I would not recommend that anyone under 14 see this movie. All in all this is a MUST SEE for any history enthusiast! |
