i love quirky movies....but lately, every quirky movie that i have gone to see (with my hopes up very high)..has been a huge dissapointment.
this movie just nails it. it's different. it's funny, charming, heart-tugging...it just has such a great "feel" about it.
i was pleasantly suprised by the direction. so often, i am wary of first -time actor-turned-directors. but he really had a great vision of this film .
i can't compare the film to the book, as i have not read the novel. but, judgeing the film on its own..i can say that this film is worth every penny. the journey that you take with the characters is just delightful.
one of the best movies i have seen all year! |
