This movie actually starts out with promise. I liked all the scenes involving the mother and daughter traveling around by boat. The scenes with the Captain and guests at dinner were horrible. The dialogue was laughable and belonged in some other film. I would never have guessed that this director had worked before. This looked like a first attempt at directing a film. Easily the worst foriegn film I have seen in 20 years. The ending is ridiculous and comes out of nowhere. Maybe someone can explain what the director was trying to do here? Since the dialogue is so ham fisted I figured I would get his point. It still eludes me and I care even less about finding it out. What a turd of a film. |
