It was hard to remove the bias of what i first imagined when i read the book, but the Da Vinci Code movie brings to life characters from the book in a very believable and satisfying way. The movie follows closely from the book with a some minor changes. Robert and Sophie are perhaps the hardest characters to portray for the actors but I thought Tom and Audrey were convincing. Kudos to Ian McKellen and Paul Bettany for transforming themselves into what I imagined Sir Leigh Teabing and Silas would be like. I think the movie is best viewed after reading the book, so that all of the details that are left out will be filled in. Overall, this movie is worth seeing if you are up for a decent thriller and secure with your religious beliefs. |
