Martin Lawrence plays a basketball coach, who loses his job as an "NCBA" college basketball team for losing his temper during a game and is banned from the league until he can prove he is worthy to coach again.
In a decision to get some good PR and make something out of himself, he decides to choose the Middle School he went to as a kid and goes on to teach a team who never scores to be a real basketball team.
A movie like this can be your typical 'horrible team becomes champions' and well, this is one of those types of movies. There really isn't any special storyline. Nothing to really make you want to root for Lawrence as a coach. The team though at times is entertaining, there is not much to be interested in. The movie falls flat in too many areas to really be a lot of fun. C+ |
