Mysterious Skin is utterly convincing drama, executed with grace and compassion. The strong performances make us empathise with the characters so convincingly that the movie lingers in the mind long after it is done. And the movie is itself a brave look at how we come to deal with our pasts and how our pasts can come to shape our futures. Outstanding.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Brady Corbet are particularly memorable. |
