This film is an honest and endearing exploration of "us" from the inside-out (or at least of "me" and everybody "I" know). July's description of childhood/adolescent sexual curiosity and discovery is right-on target with the cyber sex world we now inhabit. The complications the characters encounter with love and personal identity are truthful and vulnerable without being nostalgic or preachy. And it's SO funny! It is perfectly cast, the writing is superb and the visual style of the film is unique, modern and refreshing. |
