I saw the movie this morning, and for the life of me can not understand the hate that is coming from so many that have saw it. The majority says "It ain't 8 mile", or "He can't rap". But he wasn't suppose to be a great hip hop rapper. He was someone with a dream. If he wanted to sing but couldn't, would that change anyones point of veiw. Would you see the movie for what it really meant. I don't think anyone was trying to dis the Hip Hop community. But how many of yawl out there think you can rap but can't? Come on raise ya hands now. So give the movie credit, it's fiction. Telling a story about someone with a dream. I grew up in the 70's in Oakland,Ca and we had the pimps, corner singers, and the cats selling weed. Seemed pretty real to me... |
