What weren't they thinking?

I dunno. This one seems like an easy no-brainer to write. I mean, we've already had films like Prizzi's Honor and Grosse Pointe Blank. Shouldn't a comedy about assassins be pretty easy?
Yet this one just doesn't work. Pitt and Jolie don't act as if they are a happily married couple at any point, so why should they care if they blow each other away? The premise of the film is amusing, in a black comedy kind of way, which is something I like, but it goes nowhere.
There was a lot of potential in this film, but in the end all it is is a lot of wasted blank ammunition. |
