If you've seen The Ring and The Ring 2, don't bother going to see this movie. It's the exact same storyline, I don't even know what to say, except that I want my $7.50 back.
I was hoping that they'd do something original and interesting with this movie. Instead, they replaced Naomi Watts with Jennifer Connelly, her son with a daughter, a TV that leaks water with a ceiling that leaks water, and a well with a water tower. But then, they had to include The Ring 2's storyline of the girl following someone who she wants to be her mother. Terrible. And wow, coincidentally, it's the same writer! Great work guys, glad to see that you have more than one idea. Oh, that's right, you don't.
Remake of a remake of a remake. Next time, make the story something that I haven't seen done before. The only thing that could have made this worse was if they did the stupid "multiple personality" ending that every horror movie seems to do now days.
Don't waste your money on this Dark Water. You can experience it yourself for free at home, just don't forget to flush. |
