Don't believe the stuff in the trailers about Dark Water. Dark Water isn't a horror movie, it is a drama with supernatural undertones. On this level and probably only this level is where you can enjoy this movie. The story does have some similarities to The Ring but don't let those bring you off track. Dark Water has enough originality to stand on its own as a movie. The first Dark Water had a better ending but I couldn't really get into the characters because it was subtitled. In the remake, I could get into it easier because it was in engilsh but the ending wasn't so good. The ending probably will not satisfy the general audience and they will automatically hate this movie by calling it not scary and stupid. This movie is anything but that. Dark Water does have enough chills but maybe not enough for most people. Filter the water and put some ice in it and enjoy. |
