What kills me are all these reviews saying how this movie is a knock off of this or that sci-fi clone-ish movie from before... remake here, remake there... ~ SO??? ~ What else CAN one do in this genre?? Isn't this sort of a plot we all crave to see? It fascinates us! Isn't that why you saw it, or were intrigued to see it, in the first place? How about we just look at the thing in its element & judge it accordingly. Was it crafted well? Does it thrill? Does it make you think, even remotely? Granted it's not some erudite piece of brilliance, but it's a very cool film. The critics must have some kind of agenda... hmmm... it happens, y'know... relax & enjoy it for what it is. Comparing it to something else is just silly & irresponsible. OK, and so there is product placement... AND??? so they stuck some stuff in there we already know for familiarity... grow some nads & deal... |
