Would have walked out - had I not fallen asleep

This was a very painful experience. I really wanted to like this movie -- but the laughable storylines, countless plot holes, and just plain "you've gotta be #@!$ kidding me" moments kept it from happening. I'm still mad that I wasted a full can of Red Bull, as I dozed off on several occasions. (Please note how many reviews here talk about falling asleep. Does this sound like a "thriller" to you?)
I'd go into plot details, but if you've seen a Hollywood movie in the last 5 years, you've already seen this one. This script seemed like it was written by a committee -- full of illogical compromises. I think a Mad Libs script template could have done better.
The chemistry between Sean and Nicole was non-existent. I couldn't stop laughing during the "touching" scene when Sean was wiping the blood from Nicole's face...or when she wanted to "fall asleep to Sean's voice" on the phone. Insert ______ emotion here.
Please don't go see this movie. If Hollywood makes a profit off this piece of trash, they'll just keep on churning it out.
I am flabbergasted that Movie Critics gave this film a B. I think they've been drinking too much of the Kool-aid. |
