For the type of movie that it is (sports story based about a group of kids overcoming seemingly insumountable odds) it ranks pretty high up there. The fact that most of the events are relatively true makes it all the more interesting. Samuel Jackson's acting is superb as always. The basketball playing scenes are as realistic as any high school game you'll see across the country. It is a well written script that was performed more than adequately by some of the newcomers as well. I would recommend anyone to go and see this movie. |
