I am not a Pauly Shore fan. I picked up the movie because I thought it was a documentary-type about him faking his own death. Turns out it is supposed to be a movie? It wasn't a documentary, but it didn't have a plot either.
The movie is clearly scripted. These are not true reactions. He has faked magazine covers and new stories. It's almost like he's imagining that people will care when he dies. Sorry Pauly, but your death will not be on the cover of National Geographic.
The beginning of the movie is about Pauly Shore's failed career as an actor/comedian. The next part is of him watching porn and jacking off, followed by him blowing his head off. Then come the fake news stories, magazine covers, and scripted reactions by the stars listed on the cover. When a teenage girl discovers he is alive, he is sent to jail where a redneck fan tries to kill him.
The Store line is pathetic, although, if it were real, it may have been very interesting. The acting is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! The direction is cheesy and overdramatic, and the visuals? Visualize Pauly Shore jacking off. Need I say more? Overall, this movie sucked. |
