First off, i cant believe some of you are allowed access to a computer!! It amazes me how intellectually void some of you idiots can be. The original this and the original that...blah blah blah. Of course the 1st one is going to be alot better then the remake. They're not tryin to outdo the original, are you seriously that dumb?? I saw this just the other night and i was very entertained. Its not great , but it is a very decent film.
The violence in the movie is very genuine. I loved the opening scene. It was pretty gritty and very engaging. Ethan Hawke looked like a total badass with a shaved head...i thought it was pretty f**kin cool. Ja Rule's character was incredibly annoying...he should be banned from makin movies for the rest of his life. I f**kin hate that guy. Hes not interesting in the least and he does nothin for the story. The Bishop character was amazing to watch tho. They couldnt of picked a better actor to play the part. At times i was even scared of what he might do next, he was totally unpredictable.
Now...i did have a few problems with the plot. If you havent seen it yet dont worry i wont give anything away. But when you do see this movie you'll know what im sayin. The 1st thing i didnt like was how stupid these corrupt cops were. They could of killed Bishop at a better time then the time they picked and at a better place as well. Stormin into a police precinct thinkin their just gonna blow em away n walk outta there was incredibly stupid on their part. Next...why did it take them forever to think of the basement? I mean if ya ask me that woulda been my first choice. Last but not least, (and if you saw the movie you know what i mean) where the f*ck did that forest come from?? I mean really...All you see is the precinct and nothin but an urban setting...then all of a sudden theres a forest WTF!
Despite that, I did like the ending. I thought it was great the way they did it. They didnt give it the ole cliche kind of ending that you see in almost every movie. I would of done a few things differently but hey, im just an average guy lookin to be entertained. And i was. Go see this movie...it's worth it. Later- |
